Dear Alex, here is the Australasian eResearch Newsletter.
Australasian eResearch Newsletter - October 2026
Message from AeRO:

It’s not too late to register for the eResearch Australasia Conference to be held from 26 to 30 October 2026 at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG).  But HURRY, because the capacity of the Plenary venue is nearly reached (no, not the 100,000 of the main arena! which won’t be used for sessions, though the big screen may carry a message or two).  See https://conference.eresearch.edu.au/.

In line with it being the 20th Conference, this year’s theme is Celebrating our Past – Shaping our Future.

Some tips on getting into the MCG:
o  Enter via the Olympic Stand, Gate 3.  Take the escalators or lifts 9, 10 & 11 to Level 2. Conference Registration is in the Betty Cuthbert Bar.
o  If attending the workshops on Monday 26 October, enter via the Shane Warne Stand, Gate 5 and take lifts 12 and 13 to Level 2. Registration will be in the Jack Ryder Foyer.

Alex Reid, Newsletter Editor.

Environmental Data Integration Platform
Partnering with Corangamite Catchment Management Authority, Precision Agriculture Pty Ltd and Southern Farming Systems, Federation University’s Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation (CeRDI) is leading the Streamlining Sustainability Reporting for Land Managers project.  It is developing an environmental data integration platform bringing together data from multiple sources and transforming it into decision-ready insights for natural capital accounting, sustainability reporting and improved land management.  This has demonstrated how shared digital infrastructure can streamline environmental reporting across multiple users, datasets and reporting frameworks.

CeRDI’s Program Delivery Manager Richard Archer recently delivered a presentation highlighting the project outcomes at the Food Agility Congress in Canberra.
