Dear Alex, here is the Australasian eResearch Newsletter.
Australasian eResearch Newsletter - January 2025
Message from AeRO:

Given it’s the holiday season, like the December issue, this one is smaller than most.  Furthermore, the Editor is actually on a holiday in Peru, so hasn’t done much to solicit or canvass additional content (it also explains why it is a couple of hours late in being issued - I have time difference issues! - but at least I got to see several ancient Inca cities, and mountains - Wow!!).

At the start of a New Year, we wish all our readers the very best, and look forward to connecting with you all in 2025.

Alex Reid, Newsletter Editor.

People Are Key to Effective Infrastructure
As a newcomer in the world of research infrastructure, I noticed that there was one common thread.  Without people, infrastructure falls apart.  This is equally true whether physical or digital.

The people truly are where the magic happens.  QCIF’s CEO, Sach Jayasinghe, models these ideals in his work to create stability and recognition for people in digital infrastructure.  We look forward to watching the evolution of the Academy for Collaborative Research Infrastructure (acri.org.au) as it advocates for our community of specialised research infrastructure professionals.

See you in 2025!  Macarena Rojas, Manager, Engagement & Outreach Manager, QCIF.  Em ail me at macarena.rojas@qcif.edu.au.
