Tuesday, 16-Jan-24:

At Perth airport, on our way to Melbourne, then Tasmania.
This post was repeated 14 times by Facebook, probably because connectivity on the plane at take-off was compromised...

We arrived in Melbourne late afternoon, picked up our hire car (a Haval Jolion), and headed off to Winchelsea for the night.

Wednesday, 17-Jan-24:
We drove to the coast near Port Cambell via Colac, with the aim of then driving back along the Great Coast Road, taking in the Twelve Apostles and Cape Otway, on he way back to Melbourne.

We first stopped to take in Island Archway & Razorback; then Loch Ard Gorge, before a brief stop in Port Campbell.

From Port Campbell, we travelled East along the Great Coast Road, until we reached the official "Twelve Apostles" lookout, which was quite stunning (though of course there are no longer 12 "apostles" (viz stacks), and it's possible/probable that were never 12 of them!)

At the Twelve Apostles lookout.

Driving along the Great Coast Road, via Cape Otway rainforest:

We came across a koala up a tree alongside the road!

Pit stop in Lorne, for dinner.

Thursday, 18-Jan-24:
Spent the day in Melbourne, doing what all good tourists do: the free city circle tram (with commentary; but it was very crowded); Treasury Gardens, Fitzroy Gardens (including Captain Cook's Cottage); Federation Square; Flinders St Station; various lanes (in order: Degraves St Laneway, Block Arcade, Royal Arcade); etc. Of course, the weather was highly changeable - sunny, rainy, hot, cold, windy, etc. Finished off with an Indian meal in Niddrie (near airport).
